THE ROCK: How about that Sequel?


When you realize Sean Connery was 65 when he starred in THE ROCK, with Nicholas Cage who was 32 at the time....and that now Nicholas Cage is 61!
Can we get that long overdue sequel where Stanley Godspeed who's been on the run and living off the grid since finding out who really killed JFK when he recovered the microfilm that James Bond, i mean John Mason had hidden in the church in Kansas , is forced to team up with a young agernt who has tracked him down as he needs some of the information on that microfilm to save the world....
Cage could be a combo Sean Connery meets Gene Hackman from ENEMY OF THE STATE meets Stanley Godspeed with a touch of Cage's SNAKE EYES character and some Castor Troy FACE OFF styled eccentricities the way we know he could do so well.....
Come on Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer, this could work as well as TOP GUN: MAVERICK did!
Now who would play the young agent? Give me your suggestions!

 2025, Time to blog again?  Been a fan of Donnie Yen's work since i first saw him in action in Yuen Woo-ping's DRUNKEN TAI CHI, and come on a breakdance martial arts movie like MISMATCHED COUPLES always brings a smile to the face, and the triple whammy of his Yuen Woo-ping modern day trilogy with TIGER CAGE, IN THE LINE OF DUTY 4 and TIGER CAGE 2 cemented his place amongst many a martial arts movie fan.
